activities and resources that build on prior knowledge, that are relevant to the lives of young children, and that provide opportunities for thinking, problem solving, and experimenting.

The oral language, the reading, and writing experiences that come out of inquiry-based play are authentic and motivating for the children so we make sure that the play centres act as the “third educator” in the classroom to provide plenty of appropriate and timely opportunities to read and write.
